Are you feeling saddened or discouraged by what's going on in America and in the world today? Do you feel like there is so much darkness in people's words and actions right now? If this is so for you, listen in to today's show and take heart, as Anna encourages you, in the words of Cyndi Lauper, to show your true colors and step into your power.

Today Anna looks at how easily we can lose sight of the fact that we can make a difference by simply being true to ourselves. In this month of movie inspired podcasts, Anna talks about Trolls, a fun movie with a deeper message. She explains why it comes back to Cyndi Lauper's powerful song, True Colors and why the lyrics of the song bring tears to her eyes. Today, Anna urges you to keep making a difference in the world around you, in spite of toxic or hurtful messages you may have received, by simply being true to your authentic self.

Are you ready to talk about politics, with things being so crazy politically and socially, today? Or are you too afraid to open the discussion, just in case it starts an argument? For a way in on this topic, join Anna, as she makes herself vulnerable and questions the way she's dealt with politics in the past. On today's show, she talks about how she's decided to change that, through taking action.

As a child, Anna never had a chance to have political conversations with her family, as that was deemed to be impolite. As a result, she grew up believing that if she did talk about politics, a fight would break out, feelings would get hurt, or chaos would somehow ensue. So, she stayed silent, thinking that would be best. Today, however, she has realized that by going on with business as usual and not tying into what's going on currently in the world around her, she would be letting her fear hold her back.

Listen in today, as Anna talks about how you too, can step beyond your anxiety and become aware of and take responsibility for your situation and become the heroine of your own story.

If this is you, listen in to today's show as Anna and her guest Tara talk about the messages women get about their bodies and how this can move you into a really disordered place of shame around the way you look. The short and sweet of it!

Today we are continuing our monthly theme of wellness, with special guest Lisa Crilley, LMFT. Lisa’s work focuses on body image and eating disorders and she works in private practice. Lisa knows how our minds and our doubts can mislead us into believing things about ourselves that are not true!

Let’s take the word balance out of the equation because balance doesn’t truly exist. Wellness is about taking care of yourself, and because your needs vary, wellness is a fluid state of taking care of yourself, listening to yourself and even accepting yourself.

What we want for ourselves can be completely misaligned with our emotional needs. There is no one thing you can fix about yourself that will make you accept yourself if you don’t already practice acceptance.

Do you struggle to attain balance in your daily life, or sometimes think that it's just not worth the effort to keep trying? If this is you, join Anna on today's episode, as she shares the first six items on her top ten list of why she firmly believes that Balance is Bullshit.

Anna Osborn, wife, mother of twins, business owner and licensed psychotherapist explains why she thinks that balance can be a huge barrier to the idea of wellness. She gives her take on how balance can lead to self-destruction, due to BS expectations. She believes that we will end up being stuck in a place of disconnection from our spirit, soul, heart and head and no wellness can be achieved through striving for balance.

Episode 36:

Giving is one of the most amazing things we can do. We have to be aware of when we are giving vs when we are giving up.

In today's episode, we are talking about 3 ways you can give to others abundantly without giving up yourself along the way. It's a tendency that many women have as natural caretakers. Our ability to give requires that we not sacrifice too much of ourselves along the way, lest we have nothing left to give.

Achieving greatness in our lives is about giving and not about achieving a status. Many times we are called upon to give and we may already come from a place of being depleted. The temptation to think "enough is enough" may cross your mind.

Today, we're talking about 3 ways to shift your mindset from a place of an exasperated "enough is enough" to a place where you realize what you have is enough and what you can give is enough, and that is perfectly ok.

Being great doesn’t mean being perfect. It’s about what we do, rather than something that we are. It’s not some overwhelming or impossible to achieve idea.

Today, Weave.org Executive Director Beth Hassett is on to talk about her organization's work with victims of domestic abuse, domestic violence, and even sex trafficking.
